FLIGHTS

August is the high season in Bali. Being a popular holiday destination during this time. Bali can be very busy. Book your flights and accommodations early to avoid higher prices.

For a more cost-efficient option, you can first arrive in Jakarta and then take a flight to Bali (About 1h 50m)

  • Garuda Indonesia offers full-service flights from Soekarno-Hatta Airport (CGK).
  • Batik Air departs from both Soekarno-Hatta (CGK) and Halim Perdanakusuma (HLP).
  • Budget airlines like Citilink, AirAsia, Transnusa run frequent and affordable flights daily.

TRANSPORTATION

Gojek and Grab will be your best friends! Both companies have car and motorcycle services and are similar to Uber or Lyft.
Bluebird is the most reliable, safe, and best-priced taxi service. Do not ever take a non-bluebird taxi. They will charge very high prices.

There are many tourists in Bali that choose to rent a motorcycle for better mobility, please only consider this if you’re very comfortable using the vehicle!

Be careful with taxis because a lot of them can be expensive. If you do use a taxi, we recommend BlueBird (this is more for getting out of the airport where Grab and Gojek are not available).

PLACE TO STAY

ACCOMODATION

For the event dates August 15-17, we recommend staying near the wedding venue,in the Sanur area, which is about a 30-minute drive away.

If it’s your first time in Bali and you’d like to explore, we suggest staying in Seminyak, where you’ll find beautiful beaches, great shopping, and plenty of activities. You can also consider staying in Legian, Kuta, or Kerobokan, which are all nearby.

Bali offers two main types of accommodations: villas and hotels. For villas, we recommend checking Airbnb or Agoda for the best options.
